We bought some whimsical socks that made the perfect addition to a gift for my boss. She Loved them!

I searched every souvenir shop in Deadwood for a great magnet to remember our trip. Most were gaudy or were tributes to gambling or Wild Bill Hickock. The West River Whiskey Company offers a unique, upscale gift collection, including their signature logo magnet of a Buffalo smoking a pipe. We also bought a great little slogan sign for pur dogsitter that reads, "Dogs Welcome. People Tolerated."

I bought one when at the store for my grandson only to get home and want one for myself! Nice, soft material and great fit! Not like so many t’s that are boxy! And who can resist the cute fluffy cow?

West River Whiskey

First off, the store was closed, and we knocked on the window, and after hours, they opened their doors and let us in to do a tasting. I bought two Bottles, which one is already gone, and now I have to order online to get another. We went back the following day to do another tasting and bought more bottles. If you are in Deadwood, you have to stop in here, the Whiskey is Legit, and really good. I Personally purchased the Honey and the Cask 120....Thank YOU West River for your Hospitality, the Whiskey was great, and your expertise was also! I'll be purchasing again.

I spent a night in Deadwood on my way to Colorado and what a fun little town! I did some shopping and stopped in to West River Whiskey to check it out. I didn't buy the whiskey because of all the traveling I was doing and worried about getting it back to MN safely. HOWEVER, I did buy my husband a shirt, which he loved! He's a big whiskey fan. I did not catch the guys name who was working (think lots of tattoos), but he was just as awesome! We chitchatted about tattoos and where I could get the whiskey closer to MN, which I will once things 'settle down' a little now that I'm back. Thanks so much for being a part of my short Deadwood stop!
